Fly High

Fly High - Sankrnat.Pongal.Lohri

We lit up the venue with music, and a group of aficionados started grooving to the peppy numbers. After a brief refreshment, at 9 pm, a live performance of Sarthak Swami was aligned. He was invited to perform for his unique and unconventional style of music. Swami asked the guests to pick any three random words and made a whole song out of the chosen words. His unconventional style left the guests with a memorable experience at Fly-High.

Fly High started at 4 pm when guests began checking-in. The event started at the Sunset Point with a Hi-Tea, where some of the exciting activities were waiting for the guests. People from campsite and villas participated, and the activities lasted till 5:30 pm. The weather was calm, and under the thatch-roofed gazebo of Sunset Point, a DJ set-up was arranged. The chartbuster music pumped up the guests, and it was the time for the crux of the event - The Kite flying session.

The guest count surpassed 80 for kite flying, and with the help of the on-ground staff, kites started taking off. Clouds started turning saffron, the wind was brisk, and the skies filled with colorful kites. Like the sky-high kites, the enthusiasm of the guests geared up, and the whole location stocked with ebullience. It was getting dark, but guests were in no mood to cease flying the kites. At around 7:30, the guests half-heartedly pulled their kites down as the sun set and skies became dark. But we had more surprises in store for them as the night took a turn!

From Sankrant to Lohri, Forest Trails celebrated it all! A blazing bonfire was lit to celebrate the essence of the Lohri festival. A buffet dinner was set amidst the live performance, with veg as well as non veg delicacies catered to the palates of the guests.

The guests had become one big family and weren’t letting the night end! The ardour multiplied as the highlight of Australia vs India test match played on the big screen. The music set the mood for a party at the guests swayed to it. The match highlight and music were played until 2 am, but the night was yet to get over. We had more planned and our zealous guests were more than happy to hear that! Zoya Akhtar’s romantic- drama, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was played. Movie under the blanket of twinkling stars turned out to be the pinnacle, where patrons had a great time embracing the warmth of the late night bonfire. The last session of the jovial evening continued till 5 in the morning.

After an unending night, the morning of 13th had a blissful kick start. People who were awake were taken to the nature trail at 7:30 am. It was a visit to the 1st century B.C. Buddhist Kuda Caves, which gave a whole together rejuvenating experience. Nature trail ended at 9:30 am, and guests were served with a traditional breakfast at the restaurant. After a brief refreshment, patrons started checking-out at 11 am, and that’s how Fly High came to an epilogue.
